Basic Research is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Manager with proven online marketing experience to become a contributing member of our growing digital marketing team. The ideal candidate should have hands on knowledge and experience managing all aspects of digital marketing and be able to implement digital strategies which will increase our brand awareness and consumer engagement, online.  Primary responsibilities include the implementation and management of online marketing campaigns across all digital channels.

Responsibilities & Role

  • Help plan and implement all SEO/SEM, display advertising, Email, Influencer and Social media campaigns to work in concert with our overall business objectives and marketing goals
  • Be able to implement new digital marketing strategies across multiple online channels and determine best ROI/KPI's and metrics to monitor their effectiveness
  • Implement campaigns designed to increase brand awareness, customer engagement and consumer direct sales
  • Work closely with creative team to ensure all digital assets such as, images, videos, and content is staged and ready to be used in our digital plans 
  • Manage all digital campaigns and initiatives while coordinating with our core marketing team to make sure consistent message across all web, email and social media platforms
  • Make effective data-driven decisions and be able to implement changes quickly in order to improve effectiveness of all digital marketing initiatives
  • Research and identify new online marketing growth opportunities which offer the potential of increased sales or drive more traffic to our brand
  • Track and report on effectiveness of all digital campaigns and make recommendations for improvements and increased ROI
  • Collaborate with outside agencies and various online marketing technology partners to improve our digital outreach
  • Keep current with emerging digital marketing technologies through relevant blogs, community forums, industry events, conferences, etc.

Qualifications

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and various SEO tools)
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Experience with site optimization and developing user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing and various website optimization tools
  • Experiences in setting up and optimizing various paid campaigns through Google Adwords, Yahoo, Bing, Social Media and various other digital advertising platforms
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing & mobile platform advertising
  • Ability to track and analyze data from Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Email marketing platforms
  • Experience managing marketing spends, evaluating ROI and building custom spreadsheet reports for tracking trends and results
  • Possess a creative mind with the ability to think outside of the box
  • Ability to work with various content management systems, shopping cart and blog platforms
  • Experience managing campaigns for an ecommerce company using digital marketing best practices
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively with other employees as well as manage projects independently
  • Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills
  • BS/MS degree in marketing or related field with an emphasis on digital marketing
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of prior digital marketing experience required
  • Direct hands on experience with the management of SEM/SEO, Display, Content and Social Media Marketing campaigns
