What We're Looking for:

Basic Research is looking for a Marketing Assistant to assist the marketing and creative teams with department accounting, reporting, planning of on- and off-site meetings/events and trade shows, setting up new vendors, handling department legal requests, service agreements, NDAs/SOWs/RFPs, assist with product photo shoots, managing projects, support department SVP and VP's with scheduling and assist with department product photography assets in digital assert management database. Experience in the Health & Beauty/Weight Loss/Fitness categories a plus.

 

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Office/administrative support experience
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field preferred
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and an ability to cross check information proactively
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications in the Office Suite
  • Prior professional marketing experience preferred

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support marketing team with a variety of administrative and general marketing requests/needs including, but not limited to, department accounting, scheduling meetings, department contracts, answering phones, receiving/sending mail, assisting with shoots and managing projects
  • Maintain and organize records, data sheets, inventory, vendor files and other relevant information
  • Ensure that relevant information is available and ready in a timely manner
  • Responsible for working across departments to obtain necessary information, compiling edits from internal reviews, copy-editing and sending documents to co-workers Work with project managers to help ensure project briefs, creative briefs, and assets are delivered on time Organize project kick-off meetings with the Creative Director and Project Managers and team leads Assist in production of product photo shoots including assembling shots lists from cross functional teams, creating concept packages, set-up photographer interviews with the creative lead and gathering product samples Setup and maintain a central filing system for all assets for every brand Manage stock photography requests with legal Compile PDFs for project campaigns Upload finished pieces to our Digital Asset Management system Set-up vendors with our legal and payroll teams Assist with the generation and management of all project-related communications, including but not limited to call reports, status reports, production calendars, etc.
