Title: Visual Designer (Digital Media including Web and Digital Advertising)

Reports to: Creative Director


What We're Looking for:

Basic Research has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative Visual Designer who is highly organized, extremely detail oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and demanding deadlines. The Visual Designer will report into the Creative Director and liaise closely with the visual design and marketing teams. Our ideal candidate is passionate about designing engaging digital experiences for mobile, web, email and social. Experience in the Health & Beauty/Weight Loss/Fitness categories a plus.



  • Minimum 5 years' experience in related field of design
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience designing websites and digital advertising units for Social, Programmatic/Display as well as Social Media feed posts.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities and effectively developing timelines
  • Has a record of consistently demonstrates the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct



  • Superior knowledge of production for web banners, web pages, digital marketing and advertising campaigns and email marketing.
  • Expert level in the Creative Suite with emphasis in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign - HTML5 a +
  • Demonstrate a good eye for typography, color, composition, legibility, and creativity
  • Maintain deadlines and product goals
  • Communicates fully, effectively, and diplomatically, and exhibits proactive, solution-oriented thinking and execution
  • Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and keep track of details
  • Team player; works well in collaborative projects environments
  • Exercises sound judgment in communications and decision-making
  • Takes direction well; can work independently in most situations
  • Works well in partnership with others and maintains professional demeanor under pressure
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current trends in graphic design

  • Design creatives for various new and existing branded websites
  • Assist and design creative projects such as web pages, web banners, digital advertising units, emails and internal presentations
  • Creates design adaptations at different aspect ratios and scales
  • Brainstorm, storyboard and concept new creative concepts for new brands/projects
  • Develop logos, logotypes and color palettes for new brands/projects
  • Ensure brand guidelines are consistently met
  • Work directly with project managers to ensure all campaign requirements are met
  • Maintain and organize file structure for collaborative use
  • Other production and administrative duties as assigned
