The law firm of Price Parkinson & Kerr, PLLC is currently seeking a highly organized Senior Paralegal with 5 plus years' experience providing litigation support and case management for a team of attorneys.  The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator and have advanced research skills to be able to support and organize large caseloads, trial preparation and experience assisting at trial. Responsibilities include managing large document productions and reviews, discovery, indexing, preparing exhibits for filing, e-filing, calendaring, cite-checking, trial preparation and courtroom support and other administrative duties as assigned.  This is a great opportunity to join a team environment and work on challenging legal matters.                                       

  • Provide day-to-day assistance to attorneys in assigned function/area in support of business objectives.
  • Ability to conduct electronic searches of email and other document databases to assist in large scale document productions.
  • Ability to conduct research through a variety of tools, analyzes data and documents, prepare, draft and maintain legal documents.
  • Prepare documents and document copies including but not limited to, redaction, chronology of facts, charts, and review of transcripts for references.
  • Conduct factual research by pulling information from a variety of resources pertaining to and related to specific cases and projects.
  • Assist with gathering documents relevant to potential deponents, organize exhibits, and provide other assistance in connection with preparations for defending and taking depositions.
  • Assist with drafting various pleadings and other litigation documents including complaints, answers, motions, memoranda, briefs, and written discovery.
  • Other duties may be assigned as the position evolves.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal Justice, paralegal studies or related field.
  • 5 plus years' working as a paralegal.
  • Paralegal certificate.
  • Familiarity with electronic filings in state and federal courts.
  • Experience managing large scale document productions, including ability to conduct electronic searches of email and other document databases for relevant documents.
  • Proficiency in viewing, annotating, and organizing documents in a litigation support software environment (i.e., Concordance, Relativity) strongly preferred.
  • Proven litigation skills, including knowledge of document review and production, trial and trial prep experience.
  • Experience with Westlaw, Concordance, Relativity or comparable litigation support software.
  • Highly detail oriented and strong proofreading skills.
